Cleaner buildings and we have reduced our energy consumption
For several years, Colissimo has been participating in the environmental transition by deploying our energy efficiency plan, including daily measures to reduce the energy that our buildings consume and by redesigning our new sites to ensure they are as soft as possible, for both our benefit and to help foster biodiversity.

Optimising energy consumption by combining
2 complementary aspects

We are reducing the energy consumed at these sites by renovating their energy systems, including, for example, with additional insulation to prevent energy loss.
As part of this transition, 100% of new Colissimo sites are HQE certified, for sustainable buildings with BREEAM- / LEED-level, or similar, performance.

We are buttressing our energy efficiency plan by encouraging the use of LED or natural lighting and by deploying 50 photovoltaic units at the sites, including 8 self-sufficient sites and 2 with coordinated energy self-sufficiency.
Using financing
CERTIFICATES that guarantee that the energy is of renewable origin, our electricity is 100% renewable.
Since 2009, our environmental management system for the entire range of Colissimo’s business has applied the most stringent environmental standards to our buildings, with ISO 14001 certification the result.
In addition, 2,000 La Poste sites (the Mail Services business unit) are equipped with an energy consumption management tool.
Taken together, these decisions have resulted in energy savings of up to -23% compared with 2022.
Regenerating biodiversity at existing sites and reconnecting postal employees with nature

La Poste joins 175 other companies in their commitment to nature
Where the environment, preservation and regeneration of biodiversity are concerned, La Poste is committed to ten shared LPO x Entreprises Engagées principles regarding nature, alongside 175 other companies. This initiative consists of integrating biodiversity in the company’s value chain, production processes and investment decisions.

There are other initiatives, just as important, when it comes to safeguarding our flora and fauna

Construction has a significant impact on the environment (developed/undeveloped) and often leads to soil degradation.
That's why Colissimo is committed to caring for the soil in our car parks, designed to allow water to seep through, and our gravel pedestrian paths.

Shipping, with its corresponding fuel consumption and use of raw materials in the associated infrastructure, can fragment the natural environment. To fight this and enable biodiversity to regenerate, Colissimo is committed to diagnosing the effects on the environment and to initiatives that preserve and foster fauna, such as improving the way green spaces are managed to encourage biodiversity (with pasturage, planting forests, etc.) around our sites.
In addition, this lets our employees reconnect with nature.
