Not eligible:

  • Shipments to the Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey are not eligible
  • Shipments containing items declared as gifts are not eligible
  • Items detained by UK Customs due to import restrictions
  • Items detained by UK Customs due to an unclear customs declaration regarding the contents of the consignment
  • Items with a total value of less than £135 or more than £900. Any items subject to excise duty (for example, cigarettes and alcohol)
  • All items on the list of items whose entry into UPU member countries is prohibited and/or restricted

Following a series of incidents during the first half of 2024, the European Commission adopted a series of measures relating to aviation security, amending Regulation C(2015) 8005. These measures apply to battery-powered electrical/electronic devices containing liquids, aerosols, or gels.
Key points: From September 2025, the combined shipment of battery-powered electrical/electronic devices with liquids, aerosols, or gels (LAG) will no longer be permitted in international air mail traffic. The separate shipment of these items will still be permitted. These new guidelines apply to shipments to/from overseas territories and to shipments to/from international destinations.

Reminder:
Existing rules on dangerous goods remain in force.
Sprays, liquids containing more than 24% alcohol, non-installed lithium batteries, and power packs are already excluded from shipment.

For international destinations in the delivery indicators dashboard, delivery performance takes into account: all destinations in Europe and a large part of the world (major exports), whether these destinations have a delivery commitment or indicative delivery times. Delivery performance is calculated on outbound flows only ( excluding return flows).

The delivery performance displayed by default for ‘International’ destinations is that of the destinations with estimated delivery times. .

For ‘Overseas’ destinations, delivery performance takes into account flows from mainland France to overseas France (excluding return flows).
