However, certain hazardous materials are exempted by La Poste's Safety Experts if they are destined for mainland France or Corsica:
- Cosmetics kit: a list of 30 UN codes corresponding to cosmetic products classified as hazardous are accepted under certain conditions.
- E-smoking kits: a list of 8 UN codes for e-liquids intended for vaping, accepted under certain conditions.
- Other dangerous goods may be accepted subject to prior analysis by La Poste's Safety Experts.

Dangerous goods have a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) provided by the manufacturer, which must be sent by your sales representative for product analysis by the Safety Experts.
You will also need to provide the following information:
- Product name, reference number, unit weight, manufacturer
- Packaging:
- Primary packaging: cardboard box, can, bottle, etc.
- Secondary packaging intended for shipping: reinforced cardboard box, etc.
- Destinations of the packages (France, French overseas departments and regions, Europe, rest of the world)
The study carried out by our Safety Experts ensures that these goods do not pose any danger to the employees who will be handling the package, nor cause damage to our machines. They also indicate the Limited Quantity of hazardous material that must not be exceeded in a package (specific measures imposed by the US Postal Service).
