Each delivery option has a role to play: reassuring your recipients, protecting your shipments, simplifying your operations. Handwritten signature, delivery against a code, lump-sum compensation or ad valorem insurance... you choose the level of security best suited to the value of your goods.
For international customers, you can enhance the shopping experience with options such as Delievred Duty Paid (DDP) or a choice of postal partner according to destination. Complementing our own offerings, these solutions help to smooth delivery, while limiting friction on receipt. Colissimo supports you with services designed to build trust, optimize customer satisfaction and make every shipment a successful experience.
Delivery with signature
With signature-based home delivery, each parcel is hand-delivered against a handwritten signature from the recipient or using a QR code.
It's a simple, tried-and-tested solution that ensures the parcel reaches the household that placed the order.
Available on all our Colissimo Domicile offers, whatever the destination, this method is a benchmark, especially for valuable or sensitive parcels, as it establishes formal proof of receipt, which is then available in the Parcel Tracking Tool.
Secure code delivery
Enhanced security for the digital age
With secure code delivery, Colissimo goes one step further by adding a layer of verification to hand delivery. The recipient receives a single-use code, to be presented to the delivery driver.
This code, communicated exclusively to the recipient who placed the order, guarantees that only this person can receive the parcel.
Available on the Colissimo Domicile - France offer, this system is particularly well suited to shared environments (buildings, high-traffic areas) or to products requiring enhanced traceability. A simple solution that's even safer and more reassuring for e-tailers and their customers alike.
Secure return
End-to-end return control
With secure return by code, the return label is no longer printed at home, but generated directly at the post office, from a single-use code given to your customer.
This strictly personal code enables the label to be printed out securely at the post office counter or via an automatic machine.
This system reduces the risk of fraud or error, makes returns more reliable and secure, and guarantees full traceability of the returned parcel.
Available at no extra cost on the Colissimo Retour - France offer, this solution is ideal for sensitive or valuable products, securing return logistics while reinforcing your brand's image of reliability.
Flat-rate compensation
Integrated into most of our offers, lump-sum compensation covers your goods according to the weight of the parcel you have entrusted to us.
There are 2 levels of compensation depending on the offer used.

Ad valorem insurance
The goods you entrust to us are one of your company's key assets. For some of our offers, we offer this optional insurance that covers the actual value of your goods, up to €5,000, to compensate for any loss or damage that may occur during transit.
- Coverage up to a maximum of €5,000
- 6 brackets available: 150€, 300€, 500€, 1000€, 2000€ and 5000€.

Choosing a postal partner
For certain international destinations, you can choose which partner network will be used to deliver your parcels. This option allows you to be as close as possible to local customs, and to facilitate parcel collection in the event of a pending delivery.
Available for the following destinations:
- Germany: DPD or Deutsch Post
- Austria: DPD or Austrian Post
- Italy: BRT or PosteItaliene
- Luxembourg: DPD or Luxembourg Post
Enhance the customer experience with the DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) option
Shipments outside the European Union and to French overseas departments and territories may be subject to duties and taxes, depending on the duty-free thresholds of the import destinations. Payment on delivery is the responsibility of the recipient. However, if payment is not made in advance, the parcel may be refused and returned at your expense. 17% of e-buyers* have already refused a parcel on delivery for this reason.
Because 90% of e-buyers prefer to pay duties and taxes when they place their order*, Colissimo offers you the DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) option. With this option, as the sender, you pay the duties and taxes yourself. You can add this amount back into your order tunnel. This way, your e-buyer knows the exact price of his purchase as soon as he places his order, and only has to take delivery of his parcel. No more unpleasant surprises on delivery!

This option is available for the following offers and destinations:
- OVERSEAS: Colissimo Eco, Colissimo Domicile to Guadeloupe (including Saint Barthélémy and Saint-Martin), Martinique, Reunion, Mayotte, French Guiana, and excluding Saint-Pierre et Miquelon.
- INTERNATIONAL: Colissimo Domicile - with signature to 31 destinations. Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States.
Choosing the FTD/DDP option allows you to :
Know the total amount of the order as soon as the basket is validated (taxes included). This means no surprises for your customers when they receive their order.
Reduce the number of parcels returned for refusal to pay duties and taxes on delivery, as these were paid when the order was placed.
Simplify logistics through electronic transmission of customs documents (elimination of printouts).
Improve your customers' satisfaction with a smooth delivery and shopping experience: no extra charges and no steps to take.
How does the overseas DDP option work?
For all sales from mainland France to eligible overseas destinations:
- With a value (retail + shipping + optional insurance) greater than or equal to €22
- No customs clearance fees at destination
- Duties and octroi de mer are paid in advance by La Poste to the customs office, and will be re-invoiced to you by Colissimo.
How does the international DDP option work?
For all sales made from mainland France to the 31 eligible destinations, duties and taxes are advanced by La Poste to customs and then re-invoiced to you by Colissimo.
