As you know, France, and more specifically Paris and the Ile-de-France region, will be hosting the Olympic Games from 26 July to 11 August 2024, followed by the 2024 Paralympic Games from 28 August to 8 September 2024. As an official partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, we are fully mobilised to ensure the continuity of your deliveries despite the expected disruptions.
For several months now, our teams have been preparing for this major event. We have studied in detail the traffic plans and access restrictions put in place by the authorities in order to adapt our resources and guarantee the delivery of orders as quickly as possible.

Cyclo-logistics for the Paris 2024 Games
In 2018, we made a commitment to decarbonise Colissimo deliveries in Paris by the time of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This promise has been kept, starting in 2023, with the massive deployment of cyclo-logistics, which should enable us to access the vast majority of restricted areas.
100% of our deliveries within restricted perimeters will be made using soft modes (on foot or by cargo bike).
France's largest network of cash points available everywhere during the Paris 2024 Games
With more than 26,000 points of contact available throughout France, our network of pick-up points will enable you to deliver to all French customers directly to a La Poste point of contact chosen when the order is placed on your website, or to choose a new delivery location in the event of absence (or an unforeseen event) during a home delivery.
Your customers will also be able to return their parcel using this method.
All post offices will be accessible and PickUp shops have announced that they will remain open throughout the period of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Whether you use our "Web Service Point Retrait" or a points file (EDI), the open and available points of withdrawal will be updated daily so that your customers can have their parcels delivered without any surprises.
There's a solution for every period and every scope!
From 18th to 25th July 2024, the site of the opening ceremony and the banks of the Seine will be subject to traffic restrictions set by the Préfecture de Police. This is to allow temporary infrastructure and security elements to be put in place.
The red and grey perimeters will be active 24 hours a day. This means that to access the grey perimeters, all local residents and professionals will need to obtain a ‘Games Pass’.
The impact on deliveries will be as follows
- Home delivery and Mailbox return Disrupted
Home deliveries for individuals living in grey areas will not be possible.
However, they will be able to reschedule a delivery to another location using the interactivity service included in Flex Services. Without any choice on the part of the recipient, parcel deliveries within this perimeter will be made directly available at the nearest collection point. We recommend that you use the Colissimo Point Retrait service.Home deliveries within the red perimeter will not be affected.
The letterbox return and delivery time slot information services are suspended for the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th arrondissements of Paris.
- Pick-up point delivery and returns Active
No identified impact on deliveries to post offices, shops and PickUp automatic collection points. Your customers will also be able to return their parcels from our network of collection points.
Delivery times and commitments from 18th to 25th July 2024
We will be making our usual 24/48-hour deliveries throughout France and within the blue perimeters.
Deliveries in areas affected by traffic restrictions (red and grey) may be postponed depending on decisions taken by the authorities in the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th districts of Paris, as well as those in Saint Denis (93200), La Plaine Saint Denis (93210), Ile de Saint Denis (93450) and Le Bourget (93350).
Under these conditions, we are revoking the time commitments and the sums paid in respect of non-compliance with the quality of service may no longer be granted to you, for all parcels and deliveries to the aforementioned postcodes.
On Friday 26th July 2024, no deliveries may be made within the red and grey perimeters.
The impact on deliveries will be as follows
- Home delivery and Mailbox return Perturbé
Home deliveries for individuals living in grey areas will not be possible.
However, they will be able to reschedule a delivery to another location using the interactivity service included in Flex Services. With no choice on the part of recipients, parcel deliveries within the red perimeter will be introduced the following day, Saturday 27th July 2024.
We recommend the Colissimo Point Retrait offer.
The letterbox return and delivery time slot information services are suspended for the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th arrondissements of Paris. - Pick-up point delivery and returns Active
There will be no impact on deliveries to post offices, retail outlets and PickUp automatic collection points. Your customers will also be able to return their parcels from our network of collection points.
Please note: post offices within the red perimeter will exceptionally only be open until 1pm.
Delivery times and commitments on the opening day
We will be making our usual 24/48-hour deliveries throughout France and within the blue perimeters.
Deliveries in areas affected by traffic restrictions (red and grey) may be postponed depending on decisions taken by the authorities in the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th districts of Paris, as well as those in Saint Denis (93200), La Plaine Saint Denis (93210), Ile de Saint Denis (93450) and Le Bourget (93350).
Under these conditions, we are revoking the time commitments and the sums paid in respect of non-compliance with the quality of service may no longer be granted to you, for all parcels and deliveries to the aforementioned postcodes.
During all Olympic events, the different perimeters will be active 2h30 before the event and 1h30 after. We will do our utmost to integrate these restrictions into our routes to ensure delivery and customer satisfaction.
The areas around the event sites (gray perimeters) will remain inaccessible, so we recommend that you use the Colissimo Point Retrait delivery service.
The impact on deliveries will be as follows:

Home deliveries for individuals living in grey areas will not be possible.
However, they will be able to reschedule a delivery to another location using the interactivity service included in Flex Services. We recommend that you use the Colissimo Point Retrait service.
Home deliveries within the red and blue perimeter will not be affected.The letterbox return and delivery time slot information services are suspended for the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th arrondissements of Paris.

No identified impact on deliveries to post offices, shops and PickUp automatic collection points. Your customers will also be able to return their parcels from our network of collection points.

We will be making our usual 24/48-hour deliveries throughout France and within the blue perimeters.
Deliveries in areas affected by traffic restrictions (red and grey) may be postponed depending on decisions taken by the authorities in the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 16th districts of Paris, as well as those in Saint Denis (93200), La Plaine Saint Denis (93210), Ile de Saint Denis (93450) and Le Bourget (93350).
Under these conditions, we are revoking the time commitments and the sums paid in respect of non-compliance with the quality of service may no longer be granted to you, for all parcels and deliveries to the aforementioned postcodes.
Wednesday 28 August 2024, 100% of our parcels will be delivered and collected on foot or by cargo bike.

Para triathlon from 30 August to 2 September
Para road cycling from 3 to 7 September
During all Olympic events, the different perimeters will be active 2h30 before the event and 1h30 after. We will do our utmost to integrate these restrictions into our routes to ensure delivery and customer satisfaction.

Home deliveries for individuals living in red areas will be possible. However, they will be able to reschedule a delivery to another location using the interactivity service included in Flex Services.
The letterbox return and delivery time slot information services are suspended for Coubron (93470), Clichy sous-bois (93390) and Courtry (77171). - Pick-up point delivery and returns Active
There will be no impact on deliveries to post offices, retail outlets and PickUp automatic collection points. Your customers will also be able to return their parcels from our network of collection points.
