Carbon-free delivery

Colissimo has a long-standing commitment to sustainable development.
Since 2012, Colissimo has embarked on an ambitious policy to reduce its environmental footprint by deploying innovative transport and delivery solutions such as cargo bikes, and by optimizing its transport plans.

La Poste already has the largest fleet of electric vehicles in Europe.

But the challenge now for Colissimo is to accelerate the decarbonisation of its deliveries, starting with those in city centres, to make them smoother and more breathable.

For Colissimo, over and above regulatory constraints, the development of carbon-free delivery in the heart of towns and cities is an expression of its commitment to serving the public.

It is also an opportunity to rethink its operating model by using local infrastructures (Urban Logistics Areas - ULAs) and by developing the use of clean vehicles, in particular cargo bikes, which allow the delivery driver to be more agile and closer to the recipients. Parking is made easier and the delivery driver can get as close as possible to the delivery point.

In Paris, after the Espace de Logistique Urbain in Mouffetard and République, the Louvre E.L.U. will open in autumn 2022. Colissimo's ambition is to deliver 100% of its parcels in the capital using low-emission modes by the end of 2023.

Colissimo is also continuing to roll out carbon-free delivery in France's 22 major cities, and is already making deliveries by cargo bike in a number of city centres, including Bordeaux, Lyon, Montpellier, Paris, Rennes, Strasbourg and Toulouse....

By 2025, 50% of parcels in France will be delivered using low-emission vehicles.
