1. Our Colissimo solutions for parcel shipments to China

As a leading player in the parcel-delivery sector in France, Colissimo is also committed to enabling you to deliver to your customers all over the world, thanks to our many partners.

Within the context of your international development, China has now become one of the major international destinations, due to its significant business potential. E-commerce is a fast-growing sector in China: indeed, the share of e-commerce relative to overall consumption increased from 10.6% in 2014 to 24.9% in 2020, and this will continue to grow in the coming years. In 2020, China had 782 million online shoppers, making it the largest market in the world. In addition to a constantly increasing number of potential customers thanks to the development of the Internet, the purchasing power of the Chinese population has grown considerably since the country joined the WHO in 2001. The Chinese middle class, which accounted for 80 million people in 2002, now represents for 700 million people. The upper middle class (annual income of €40,000) is also flourishing in the country. This new class is turning to foreign products (especially from Europe), as highlighted by the amount of money spent on fine wines, jewellery, watches, perfumes, branded clothing and footwear, which increased by 45% in China between 2019 and 2020. French products and brands have a very good reputation. Indeed, Chinese consumers have developed a real appetite for French products because they evoke quality, innovation and refinement.

As soon as they are dropped off, your parcels are prioritised in the postal network and forwarded as quickly as possible to the Colissimo Hub in Roissy.

Colissimo has several weekly flights to 3 major airports in China: Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. From these 3 major hubs in China, air freight services enable express delivery via the China Post - EMS (Express Mail Service) network.

Like La Poste, China Post is a member of the KPG- EMS (Express mail service) network. This express postal network enables parcels to be injected into the China Post network, with the following advantages:

  • prioritisation of export parcels to China within the Chinese domestic network
  • space reserved on specific calls for tender for air transport
  • prioritisation of flows at destination thanks to the "KPG" marking placed on the air-freight containers
  • delivery of priority flows through the EMS - Express Mail Service network
