A pioneering commitment to the climate

La Poste Group has set itself a Net Zero Emissions target by 2040 : to reduce its emissions by 90% (vs. 2021) and sequester the remaining 10%. La Poste and La Banque Postale's Climate + Territories programme is one of the concrete levers of this trajectory, not a display, but a mechanism for financing real, measured and certified projects.

A pioneer in France, La Poste has contributed to the creation of the Low-Carbon Label : the national reference for the certification of carbon sequestration projects in France. This label guarantees the rigour and transparency of the commitments made.

A concrete assessment

Since its creation in 2015, the Climate + Territories programme has been:

  • Nearly 100 projects funded in 62 French departments , serving the landscapes, soils and biodiversity of our territories.
  • 65,000 tonnes of CO₂ sequestered (estimate, pending the five-year audits)
  • 68 projects certified with the Low-Carbon Label

Two multi-regional programmes complete this system:

  • The Low Carbon Dairy Farms, with a target of reducing the carbon footprint per litre of milk produced by 20%.
  • The Agr'Eau program, which supports farmers in agro-ecological transition towards the reduction of chemical inputs.
