The EORI number (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) is a unique EU identification number that must be used by companies exporting internationally. This number must appear on the export customs declaration, which must be completed by La Poste for values greater than or equal to €1,000 (SAD – Single Administrative Document) and regardless of value when the DDP option is selected (all destinations), as well as for DAP shipments to the United States. Logistics providers: the EORI number indicated must be that of the ordering customer (the logistics provider's customer), who is the actual exporter and owner of the goods being shipped.

A new format for the EORI number of the consignor based on the SIREN number (FR + 9 digits) will become mandatory on January 1, 2026, for importing or exporting goods outside the European Union and to the French overseas departments: to request it, go here.
