Colissimo price supplements
To enable you and your customers to benefit from quality home delivery, Colissimo needs to provide you with all the useful and reliable information required for a successful delivery.
The Fuel Adjustment Ratio (CAP) is a fuel surcharge applied each month, indexed to the price of diesel for road transport and to the price of kerosene for air transport. The CAP ratio is applied to the postage amount of each parcel and indicated at the bottom of your monthly invoice.
It should be noted that these official scales are published two months later, so the surcharge applicable in a given month M corresponds to the scale for month M-2.
The road transport CAP ratio is based on the National Road Committee (CNR) index « professional diesel fuel - December 2000 base », published monthly on the following website : www.cnr.fr
The air transport CAP ratio is based on the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) index « U.S. Gulf Coast Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel », published monthly on the following website : www.eia.gov
|Road transport CAP ratio||Air transport CAP ratio|
The fuel adjustment rate, applied to the total amount of regular postage price excluding options and after discounts. It is calculated according to the value of the CNR index (professional diesel fuel) monthly published on the National Road Committee website in the following proportions :
Road transport CAP ratio
CNR index (professional diesel fuel) - base 2000
Road transport CAP ratio
Above 200, the roadside CAP rate will be increased by 0.25% for every 5 index increment.
Calculation example :
For a total postage amount of 500€ HT (excluding options and after discount), if the CNR index is 150 (average observed over the last 3 years) then the CAP rate is 9.5%, and the amount of the road CAP will thus be : 0,095 * 500€ HT or 47,50€ HT
The fuel adjustment rate, applied to the total amount of regular postage excluding options and after discounts. It is calculated according to the price per gallon of jet fuel in $ published monthly on the EIA (US Energy Information Administration) website in the following proportions :
Air transport CAP ratio
Price per Gallon of Kerosene in $
Air transport CAP ratio
Above $3.00, the Airline CAP rate will be increased by 0.50% for every $0.10 increase in the price per gallon of jet fuel.
Calculation example :
For a total postage amount of €500 excluding VAT (excluding options and after discount), if the price of a gallon of kerosene is $1.8 (average price observed over the last 3 years) then the CAP rate is 4.5% and the amount of the air CAP will thus be : 0,045 * 500€ HT or 22,50€ HT
In the event of a change in the minimum wage, La Poste will apply compensation calculated on the basis of the change in the net hourly minimum wage published monthly on the INSEE website Salaire minimum interprofessionnel de croissance (Smic) | INSEE

|Increase of the SMIC||Applicable rate|
|* 0 < X ≤ 0,5%||0,20%|
|* 0,5% < X ≤ 1%||0,40%|
|* 1% < X ≤ 1,5%||0,60%|
|1,5% < X ≤ 2%||0,80%|
|2% < X ≤ 2,5%||1,00%|
|2,5% < X ≤ 3%||1,20%|
|3% < X ≤ 3,5%||1,40%|
|3,5% < X ≤ 4%||1,60%|
|4% < X ≤ 4,5%||1,80%|
|4,5% < X ≤5%||2,00%|
|X > 5%||2,20%|
* Neutralisation de la hausse jusqu’à 1,5% en 2023
How does it work?
The adjustment is made each time the SMIC is revalued during the year compared to the reference level of the gross hourly SMIC.
Where applicable, the compensation rate will be calculated according to the variation in the gross hourly SMIC in euros published monthly on the INSEE website versus the reference level of the gross hourly SMIC in force on 1 January of each year.
The increase in the SMIC will be taken into account in M+2 in terms of invoicing.
