UK : A challenge met with success
Six months after Brexit, we can now make an initial assessment. You will also find below key information about how Colissimo can support your development on the e-commerce market in Europe.

You managed to adapt to the new process for shipping parcels to the UK, with customs. We are proud to have helped you through the process, by bringing you the services you need :
Average end-to-end delivery time since 1 January 2021: 3.5 days
Promise fulfilled to a level of 96%
Only 5% of parcels checked by customs
Together with the Colissimo network, we took up this challenge to enable you to pass through customs quickly, with no constraints, thanks to postal customs clearance :
- Parcels with a market value of less than £135 are checked before delivery to ensure that the sender is registered with the tax authorities for VAT payment (UK VAT number and UK EORI number)
- Parcels with a retail value of more than £135 are cleared through customs and the recipient is charged for customs fees (VAT and customs clearance duties) upon delivery.
- Parcelforce provides a notification service to inform recipients about the delivery time slot and the possibility of paying customs fees online (for orders over £135).
- To facilitate Returns (for fashion products, shoes), the Return label is easy to generate and the parcel can be deposited in one of the British post offices (11,500 Royal Mail post offices) and returned to France without having to pay fees on the re-import!
For a premium shopping experience, you can opt for the DDP* delivery option with our partner Fedex which allows you to take care of the customs fees for your parcel-recipient customers!

Thanks to our partner Parcelforce, we also provide home deliveries with signature on delivery.
On the day the parcel is scanned at the delivery depot, your recipient is given several delivery options; namely :
- Have your parcel delivered to a neighbour
- Have your parcel delivered to the post office
- Request a delivery the next day
- Request a delivery two days later
